squawken Posted November 24, 2007 Author Posted November 24, 2007 I sent them an offer of $750 for the 157. Haven't heard back yet. If you wait until the auction ends and offer them $950 you should be able to get it. If not, they don't want to sell that bad. Good Luck Hey Thanks Sky Dog! Good friends here!
skydog Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 Well, he got back to me and declined my offer! Good thing, 'cause I'm jonesin' for a 137!
squawken Posted November 24, 2007 Author Posted November 24, 2007 Well, he got back to me and declined my offer! Good thing, 'cause I'm jonesin' for a 137! Thanks again Skydog! I stopped in my local music store today to see how much and how long for a new white one. If it is too long I will get back to him with a slightly higher offer. I wonder if he knows what he is up against (HOC, big and mighty).
JohnCovach Posted November 24, 2007 Posted November 24, 2007 I see that 157 again closed on fleabay without a bid, as did the 576. The H162 went for $911, however.

Sparky Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 I did. However, if you click on white it doesn't go to a certain guitar, like all the finishes do. That's what led to question this. I ordered a translucent blue guitar from Heritage... if you click on that color on their website there's no guitar shown either. Thats because there has been no mainenance of the site to speak of, other than the "No Longer Available" messages on a bunch of the models. Call or e-mail Jay Wolfe.... he may have something, or can tell you how long it'll take from Parsons St. Just think... you could spend a YEAR in anticipation of a NEW HERITAGE! Shweet......
squawken Posted November 25, 2007 Author Posted November 25, 2007 I will keep everyone updated when I hear how long the wait will be.
Kazwell Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 I know Wolfe Guitars had a used translucent blue w Seths as of about two weeks ago, probably sold by now, but may be worth calling them just in case.
Thundersteel Posted November 25, 2007 Posted November 25, 2007 Yes, it is sold. However, they have a new one in stock. Also, GuitarAdoptions has the LW version for $1299.
Jim W Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 My wife has a white H-157, but it was ordered with a "tummy-cut" on the back side, so it's only bound on the front. When we bought it it was missing some hardware, so we set it up in it's current configuration http://southpawsanctum.com/2003h157.html
Dick Seacup Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 Very nice looking guitar, Jim. Welcome to The Club!
squawken Posted November 27, 2007 Author Posted November 27, 2007 I will keep everyone updated when I hear how long the wait will be. They said 2 months at the factory today. Does this sound believable, as in that quick?
Dick Seacup Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 They said 2 months at the factory today. Does this sound believable, as in that quick? I would be concerned that the lacquer wasn't completely cured. But, I don't know much about lacquer other than what I've read at Reranch.
Gibby4evah Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 That a rockin looking guitar Man. Looks like my Gibson. It is a sunshine color and called a Hondo
Sparky Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 They said 2 months at the factory today. Does this sound believable, as in that quick? Somewhere I read they had a year-long backlog. A good problem to have if you're a builder. I just hope the new regime isn't making promises it can't keep.
squawken Posted November 27, 2007 Author Posted November 27, 2007 That's my concern too. Unless they may have one in stock, or partially done. I'm reaching here.

Lane at Heritage warned me that this would happen in a couple of years if I bought one. yet I have seen models on ebay that haven't seemed to change.
