big bob Posted December 25, 2016 Posted December 25, 2016 Can a pedalboard or an individual pedal be converted to run off USB power? Thinking that a USB adapter is able to receive or be plugged into 110-250 volts and can deliver any wattage you want.
TalismanRich Posted December 25, 2016 Posted December 25, 2016 USB is only 5 volts so I doubt you will find many pedal that will run off that. The majority of them run on 9volts, there are a few that require 18v.. Most USB stuff also maxes out around 500mA. There are some people who are putting out Li-ion battery packs for use with pedals. That gets rid of the need for plugging in a pedal board.
