Louis Electric Buster amp based on a narrow panel tweed deluxe. 2 channels, huge output transformer, AB1, fixed bias, 12ax7,12at7, 2-6L6, and 5AR4 rectifier tube. Celestion g12-65, 36 lbs. The Louis Electric Buster is designed to provide the classic 6V6/6L6 sound, 18W 6V6 output or 28W 6L6 output. Being a huge Neil Young Fan I could not pass this one up.

Congratulations, Bill, that's sweet! 5E3s give great tone, for sure. I know you'll wring the best out of it. Interesting that there is no standby switch.

Nice looking amp, congratulations. Hows does it compare to your Deluxe Reverb?

That's not my deluxe reverb. The photos were from the seller. It sounds a lot like my silver face Princeton only louder.

Nice!! Congrats.

Just how rude can that get and at what volume?

Right around half way it starts to brake up very nicely. It also depends on were the tone knob is set. When you turn the tone past half way it adds some gain.

Cant wait to see and hear it during a visit Bill. What is the connection to Neil Young by the way?

Neil Young,is a Canadian singer-songwriter, musician, producer, director and screenwriter. Young began performing in a group covering Shadows instrumentals in Canada in 1960. In 1966, he moved to Los Angeles, where he formed Buffalo Springfield with Stephen Stills, Young had released two solo albums by the time he joined Crosby, Stills & Nash in 1969. From his early solo albums and those with his backing band Crazy Horse, Young has recorded a steady stream of studio and live albums, sometimes warring with his recording company along the way.

..and Neil is renowned for using a TWEED DELUXE that runs 6L6's instead of 6V6's

just like this supercool amp

Bill, any chance we could talk you into bringing that to PSP next year? :D

They are planning to have PSP August 2nd through the 5th. As of right now I have to be back at school on Monday the 7th. So I'm not sure I can make it this year. But if I do I will bring the Buster, and you can bring the "PIG"

here, I'll write you a note:

"I'm sorry, Bill Gelder cannot come to school today.

He is busy chasing higher priorities in life: Tone, Spirituality, Freedom, Friendship, and Beer

....in Kalamazoo"

Poor baby; we realize that 2, 3 months off in a row doesn't make up for having a blast with your buddies one weekend and then having to go to work the next day.... :D

Much respect to a fellow educator. Do what you need to do.

PS...look for a vintage 5y3wgt...buy a few vintage TungSol 6v6gt's, will take a half dozen to get a tight pair...look for round plates, gray or black, black sides and top of the bottle, and especially the number "322" on the base. You won't be sorry. That amp will love to go the lower power route, the huge output transformer inside will give tones that will cause ...I won't say here, I have posted enough rude words already this week. Just put on a fresh pair of Depends, plug yer nose, and grin, brother, grin. .

Duck Dunn on bass! I never knew he played with Young. Consummate workingman. Parked by the kick drum, laying it down. How many iconic recordings is that guy on.

Nice Amp Bill! Bucket list item for sure.

Great sounding amp, I would love one of those. I have not seen these in the UK, where are they price wise?
