omribe1 Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 hey i'm interested in buying a heritage guitar and join the family. i've played my friend's h-150 and loved it. i was wondering if anyone here knows what does the 3 "rendall wall vari phase" switches are doing? i've searched the web for some information and couldn't get any on the old style with 3 switches but only on the new kind with 2 switches... so i thought there's no better place to check then here!! another thing i've wanted to ask is if the heritage guitars were ever made with Schaller pickups? the last question i have is in your how much does a guitar like that should cost? i've added an image that i found online for you to see what i mean thanx guys!!
ledzef Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 Sorry I don't know the order but one switch does pups phase in and out of each other, 2nd does coil split, and 3rd offer series/parallel. Sent from my SM-G935P using Tapatalk

tonedeaf Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 Here are the details: http://www.heritageownersclub.com/forums/topic/16213-request-for-explaination-of-the-vip-vari-i-phase-system/
DetroitBlues Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 Heritage Guitars started with Schaller pickups and hardware for over 20 years. In the past decade or so, they switched to Tonepros hardware and Seymour Duncan pickups. The picture shown is a H140, not a H150 (the sharp cutaway, dot fretboard inlays, and unbound neck are a dead giveaway). What's oddly unique about that picture you've shown it is the pickup selector is not typical for a single cut location... Rather interesting H140. Might be a really old one.. Probably 85-87? What's the first character of the serial number on the back of the headstock? Also, open the control cover on the back and see what's written on there.
FranzMohamitz Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 My goodness, its as if that guitar got drunk and passed out on a Tijuana park bench! Good luck with your search!
Buckyrock Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 That doesn't look stock to me... the little switches don't appear to be in a straight line.
