DLDTEX Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 I received an Eagle this week. I was always interested in a big Heritage guitar. This one fell into my price point. I am not a jazz player but I will try to learn a few tunes. It has a Seymour Duncan in it but the original Schaller came with it. The guitar was made in 1998. How did Heritage mark their HRW's? The resistance was 7.22 ohms which seem low. Any info would be appreciated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
myoldfriend Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 HRW's will have a sticker on the back of the pup that reads "Heritage Guitar Pickup by Rendal Wall"
tulk1 Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 That IS a big guitar. HRW'S were handwritten on the back. In dual pup configuration the switch tip had either a white or black dot, depending on the color of the switch, as well.
DLDTEX Posted March 27, 2017 Author Posted March 27, 2017 Thank you for the info on the HRW PUP's. There are no markings on the back. No HRW joy. Still sounds good but I have a friend down the road winding a replacement for me. Mike @ Geppetto Guitars. Great PUP's at great prices. Thanks again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Polo Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 Excellent. Congrats on what appears to be a perfect guitar!

yoslate Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 Beauty! I understand the desire for a Big Box. My first Heritage was a custom order Super Eagle. Delight in it every time I pick it up! Now I'm jonesing for just what you have here, but acoustic. Nice score!
Gitfiddler Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 Great score!! Like others, my very first Heritage was a reasonably priced archtop that far exceeded my expectations. Play it in good health.

Thank you so much. I still play a 535 I bought from you a few years back. Always have a good guitar play out or record with. Playing for me has always been good therapy. Hfan Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 That is perfect, congrats, a work of art. Which is the more accurate color? 1st or 2nd picture? I'm betting the first one.
