CJTopes Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 I was looking at the Gear page when someone posted this rare bird from Gibson. Didnt think much of it until I saw the name on the input jack. Anyone know ith that is the same Rendal Wall? Is there an interesting back story to this?
tulk1 Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 That is one strange bird, indeed. Doubtful there is more than one Rendal Wall that worked for Gibson. Gotta wonder what he was thinking.
PunkKitty Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 That looks like something Ren would do. I mean that in the most loving way possible.
t0aj15 Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 Looks like a recreation of Les Pauls original "The Log".
RJLII Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 Looks like a Firebird neck blank without the body wings. Edit: Yup https://www.vintageguitar.com/27374/gibson-wall-board-guitar/
Yooper Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 That's a collectible I won't be needing. Sorry Ren.
TalismanRich Posted March 27, 2017 Posted March 27, 2017 That guitar was featured in Vintage Guitar magazine June 2016 issue. We have a thread from last year. http://www.heritageownersclub.com/forums/topic/30750-wall-board-guitar-in-vintage-guitar-june-2016-issue/
bolero Posted March 28, 2017 Posted March 28, 2017 I like it Heritage should issue it as a special limited run "Rendall Wall" signature model although with all that wood on the headstock it probably dives a lot....is that a strat pin I see on the HS?
