sgw2017 Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 Recently purchased a 2016 lefty H-535. I noticed Heritage has recently changed their pickguard shape to no binding and rounded off the lower end. I think these are ugly compared to the old style. Called Heritage to see if they could make an old style pickguard. Was told the pickguard guy was on vacation, gave them my phone and haven't heard back. Has anyone had their 535 pickguard replaced by Heritage or anyone else ? Any advice would be appreciated !
SoundBottoms Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 I've used both WD Custom Pickguards and Pickguard Heaven. Turnaround for both was about 6 weeks with good results. You will need to make a tracing of your current pg and mail it in. I think both their sites have tracing instructions, or check youtube. Hope that helps.
fxdi35rider Posted April 7, 2017 Posted April 7, 2017 There was someone selling a bunch of heritage pick guards on here a few months ago. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
sgw2017 Posted April 8, 2017 Author Posted April 8, 2017 No idea who it was ? Maybe I should check the Heritage stuff for sale here ! Thanks fxdi35rider
sfceric64 Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 I saw one, amongst a few on the Bay. Don't know if it's a reasonable price or how to post the link but here it is. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Heritage-Guitar-Replacement-Pickguards-/252828368375
sfceric64 Posted April 8, 2017 Posted April 8, 2017 Sorry, missed that LEFTY part and not really sure what models those guards might fit.
DetroitBlues Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 I had my 16' 535 without the guard installed. But I've considered a Gibby style guard instead. Just can't get myself to buy one and drill holes in my 535.
