DetroitBlues Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 That is a stunning example of what can be done at Heritage. I'm sure the cost was high, but realistically, Gibson, Fender, or PRS would of cost a lot more for the same kind of build (if even possible). Can't wait to see her at PSP (I hope she'll attend!). I assume a thin neck profile in the neighborhood of .800 or less?
Millennium Maestro Posted May 1, 2017 Author Posted May 1, 2017 1-piece or 2-piece top? Same with the back, is it 1-piece or 2? Also, just curious what that baby weighs with the exotic wood? Rich this will answer your question too... It is a 2 piece slab of Black Korina so it is flat top. I will scale her for you! I assume a thin neck profile in the neighborhood of .800 or less? When my investment was calculated I took it all the way with a custom 800-880 profile. Sub note... It is not easy to tell but on picture 2 is a mistake that should have been caught in the final steps and QC.... Just showing that small stuff happens but the guitars have never been better! To me an obvious oversight.
Gitfiddler Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 Guy, that guitar is perfect IMHO. That being said, is the QC issue you alluded to, the alignment of the neck heel-to-body?
Millennium Maestro Posted May 1, 2017 Author Posted May 1, 2017 NO, they had to figure out the whole neck joint being flat top and it turned out flawless/spectacular... Look over at the other side of the picture HINT it is something a blind man would notice too..

Millennium Maestro Posted May 1, 2017 Author Posted May 1, 2017 3 of these things belong together... One is kinda the same (To quote Sesame St.)
Millennium Maestro Posted May 1, 2017 Author Posted May 1, 2017 just curious what that baby weighs with the exotic wood? a touch over 8 1/2 pounds
Spectrum13 Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 3 of these things belong together... One is kinda the same (To quote Sesame St.) The neck tone control is a little deeper in the body. Either shaft or knob mismatch.
