zguitar71 Posted May 15, 2017 Posted May 15, 2017 I recently bought this little gem: It is in great shape and unmolested except for the speaker, an Oxford from 1969. It sounds just as it should and when plugged into a 15' Eminence Legend it is to die for.
schundog Posted May 15, 2017 Posted May 15, 2017 Wow! Very nice, congratulations. I really want a Princeton Reverb, someday. They simply have a 3-D sound that I don't hear in any other Fender amp. Enjoy it, man!
kennyv4 Posted May 15, 2017 Posted May 15, 2017 Very very nice. A truly great sounding amp. I have not seen a CBS Princeton for sale in my neck of the woods for a long time. Congratulations and enjoy.. I am picking up a Princeton reissue next Saturday to add to my amp tube amp collection .
Gitfiddler Posted May 15, 2017 Posted May 15, 2017 Great find! BF Princetons sound fantastic and the non-reverb models have more clean headroom in both inputs. Enjoy!
Vanschoyck Posted May 15, 2017 Posted May 15, 2017 Looks like a very well preserved example. Congratulations!
RhoadsScholar Posted May 16, 2017 Posted May 16, 2017 Those are great amps. Would love to find one similar to yours. Clean headroom (more so than the Princeton Reverb). Another I should not have let get away. Takes pedals well. Nice score
bolero Posted May 16, 2017 Posted May 16, 2017 that is nice!!! congrats one of my favourite amps is a princeton reverb 1x12 build running 6L6's for a bit more power
zguitar71 Posted May 16, 2017 Author Posted May 16, 2017 Thanks for all the nice comments. So far so good with this amp. I will be disconnecting the death cap and putting in a grounded cord but other than that this is a never to be modded amp. It is my first really clean vintage amp, I may have started a bad habit that feels so good.
Hfan Posted May 23, 2017 Posted May 23, 2017 Nice find. Old Princetons seem to be appreciating in price lately.
