koula901 Posted June 23, 2017 Posted June 23, 2017 Hi folks, I finally bought an audio interface to get my guitar working with the computer. I'm looking for an amp simulator so I can practice my guitar, with the headphones on, while jamming with you tube (the neighbor's been complaining of late-night noise). Sweetwater salesman recommended I buy Positive Grid Bias Amp for $79. But upon a little bit of research I saw that you can download Amplitube Custom Shop for free and I think it comes loaded with a few amps. I don't need anything fancy, right now, and I primarily use fender amps, but really, I'm just using this as a practice tool where no one else will hear me. What do you guys use? Have any of you got the free version of Amplitube Custom Shop loaded into your computer?
t0aj15 Posted June 23, 2017 Posted June 23, 2017 That's not an amp simulator, it's an efx unit. It's also not very funny.

koula901 Posted June 24, 2017 Author Posted June 24, 2017 How does it sound? You have to fiddle with it to get a passable sound. The funny thing is, it even pics up the single coil buzz of my guitar, and the pots on my guitar work.
