bolero Posted February 1, 2018 Posted February 1, 2018 here is neat footage of Pete Traynor ( RIP ) talking about some history of his amps etc also they drop an amp off the roof at 6:21, recreating the famous QC test they used to do on production amps
bolero Posted February 1, 2018 Author Posted February 1, 2018 wow...at 3:36 you can see the famous "dead horse" bass amp. I wonder if Pete is playing through that?
LK155 Posted February 1, 2018 Posted February 1, 2018 Great video. Brings back memories............. While in my high school rock band, I had a new mid-60's (well, it was the mid-60's after all) YBA1 Bassmaster and 2x12 cab. The amp fit in the little cubby space behind the back seat of my VW bug, the cab got wedged into the back seat (doing that required two people), and there was just enough room left for the tele case on top of the cab. Pretty sure that setup had something to do with the hearing deficiencies I'm having 50-some years later.
ElNumero Posted February 1, 2018 Posted February 1, 2018 So there actually is a person behind that logo on those amps!
