LK155 Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Someone in another post suggested the factory host tours similar to what happens in Colonial Williamsburg. I've been to Williamsburg, and that idea may have merit. If there was a handout available showing prices and policies, that would help. For example: ======================================================================== Admission: 1. Regular factory tour.........................................................................................................$18 2. Deluxe tour (includes sanding area and outside views of paint booth).......................$21 3. Extra deluxe tour (includes through-glass views of the plant manager)......................$24 4. Bronze level tour (includes sanding and polishing areas).............................................$26 5. Silver level tour (includes sanding, polishing, and stringing--3 strings)........................$28 6. Gold level tour (includes all silver level areas plus expanded stringing--6 strings)......$38 7. Platinum level tour (includes all the above plus access to a washroom).....................$40 8. Platinum plus level tour (includes all platinum items plus a free soft drink)................$44 Safety: > Hard hats, safety glasses, jockstraps (men only, please) and neck braces must be worn at all times during your tour. > Rental of hard hat, safety glasses, jockstrap and neck brace........................................$12 > Absolutely no cameras, phones, hearing aids, pacemakers, other electronic contraptions, artificial limbs, or automatic weapons are allowed on the factory floor. > Please stay within the lines marked on the floor. Violation may cause electrocution. > Do not speak with, stare rudely at, harass, disturb, or bother the employees in any way. Miscellaneous: By reading this notice (or even glancing at it), you are confirming that you agree to abide by all the onerous terms and conditions found in the "Legal Mumbo-Jumbo, Corporate Doublespeak, and Public Platitudes" sections of our website. Please complete our short 26-page survey at the conclusion of your visit. And like us on Facebook. Enjoy your tour. =============================================================================
kbp810 Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Where do I sign up! I'll go for the platinum level plus - as long as I'm paying for access to the bathroom, I might as well enjoy a fountain drink.
davesultra Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 For an extra $2.50 you can add a ride on the ol’ clamping wheel! Bring the whole family along! And get your picture taken with the “Ghost of Orville”. Fun for all!!! Also, don’t forget to stop in at the Beer garden for a pint of our very own “Parsons Street Pilsner” (21 and over only). Good times for all at the “Heritage Guitar and Family Fun Factory”!
ShredAndDestroy Posted February 27, 2018 Posted February 27, 2018 Game On! bandlab owns tiesco and harmony. if this all leads to more guitar manufacturing in kalamazoo, then its great in my opinion.
