Cassady Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 Recently, I bought my first two Heritage guitars. I posted about them here: Finally Qualified to be a Real Member I frequently do little things to personalize my guitars, in this case changing tuner buttons, switch tips, knobs and, on my H535, the pickup rings. I think these changes make them more of a matched pair than they were before and help me feel like they're my guitars. I readily admit that I love the way Collings electric guitars look, especially their deluxe models with grained ivoroid parts. The knobs and switch tips that I used are imitation ivory from Crazy Parts in Germany and are gorgeous, if expensive, and the grained ivoroid tuner buttons are from All Parts. I really like the way these turned out. I have mixed feelings about acquiring these so soon before the layoffs, but I'm glad they were made with the "old crew" still at Heritage.
skydog52 Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 Great looking guitars with some nice appointments! The two flagships of 225 Parsons St.
tulk1 Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 Dig the tuner buttons! And yeah, you made them look like twins. I really like that you called them customizations, not "upgrades". <<--- just a pet peeve of mine, is all.
