skydog Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 If I did my math right, Heritage will get to Z in 2014. Then what happens, AA, AB, A1?
Kuz Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 To think 1 1/2 years ago that was probably a "problem" they never thought they would have to deal with.
Steiner Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 They'll have to go to a number system. If they use dual letters (e.g. AA, AB, AC...) you'll get people erasing the first letter to provide a price kick. If they us the alphanumeric (e.g. A1, A2 ... B1, B2...) erasing the last character will accomplish the same. The only option is to use completely random digits and keep good records.
skydog Posted December 20, 2008 Author Posted December 20, 2008 Steiner: You brought up some interesting points. I would love to see them go to the 50's Gibson style where there is a single digit designating the year and then a sequence number of some sort. Such as 5 2015. I think it would be best if these were stamped vs. inked. There should be no problems with record keeping today what with the computers vs. a ledger book.
Thundersteel Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 How about a letter at the end of the serial number, such as 23875B?
rooster Posted December 20, 2008 Posted December 20, 2008 How about Greek letters, or the Kronos symbol from Blue Oyster Cult's stuff, or the Judas Priest trident, or other appropriately rock and roll symbols? I'm sure there are many to choose from. rooster.
