Spectrum13 Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 Does someone know how Heritage decides on production runs. Other than custom orders, dealers requests for inventory and special runs... Do they keep a bunch of 150s, 535s etc. in various stages of prodution or in white wood waiting to be painted and completed? Or does each guitar start production only if someone placed an order. ???
Mikenov Posted December 22, 2008 Posted December 22, 2008 I remember seeing fret boards in stock but I really didn't see a stack of necks or bodies. I think they start each guitar and work on it till finish. So they have the special orders and then their standard models and they work on both on going. But they don't have a guy churning out bodies and saving them for a rainy day. I get the feeling they are making the guitars as fast as possible so nothing is sitting around.
