That's a great find !    It's worth watching ,if only to see Ron Howard show a big piece of some raw quilted maple.  He says it's western maple from Oregon.  ( Heritage part starts around 1:29 )

  And I want to try a drink called a Boomerang now too.  The Kzoo places he visits all seem interesting..

I guess that piece of bubbalicious quilted maple puts a hole in the "they don't make custom guitars anymore" story. Unless you think that maple is going to be a coffee table. Not!
