bobmeyrick Posted September 5, 2018 Posted September 5, 2018 Pierre Bensusan is more widely known as a user of Lowden acoustics and the master of DADGAD tuning, but while going through some old photos I found these, taken at a gig in Derby (UK) in September 2003, where he used a 575 on a couple of tunes. I seem to recall he'd only just got it and was using it as an experiment - I've seen him a few times over the years and he's pretty much always used a Lowden, either the "Old Lady" (his original S22) or his new signature model. Anyway, here he is with a single p/u H575...
tulk1 Posted September 5, 2018 Posted September 5, 2018 Quik reedin' I thought that said Pierce Brosnan playing a 575. Couldn't figure out when James Bond would have time to play the guitar. Don't know this guy, but do know Lowden guitars. My singer, Tracy, has one her dad had. Wonderful, wonderful tone and extremely LOUD acoustic guitar.
bobmeyrick Posted September 5, 2018 Author Posted September 5, 2018 I first came across the name "Bensusan" as a track on Michael Hedges' Aerial Boundaries album. They had a great deal of mutual respect, and Pierre wrote this piece as a tribute to his friend.
