granitehead Posted September 12, 2018 Posted September 12, 2018 Hi everyone, New here... just acquired this beautiful H140, S/N: K24806, so it appears to be from Apr. 1994. But for the life of me, I cannot find a clear description of the controls. I've read all I could find in this forum which is this post plus embedded links: http://www.heritageownersclub.com/forums/topic/31749-rendall-wall-vari-phase/ but it appears this only talks about the newer configuration of two 3-way switches. These are the old two-way toggles. Does anyone actually have an owners manual for this that maybe I can get a PDF of? Or lacking that, a better description of this old style variphase including knob function? Thanks much!
FredZepp Posted September 12, 2018 Posted September 12, 2018 I don't know if this has helpful info, but here is an old info sheet on a Vari Phase on a 535
granitehead Posted September 12, 2018 Author Posted September 12, 2018 Hey Fred, Thanks man... that did it! I think I've got it figured out. My switches work exactly as in your diagram which let me figure out the knobs. The upper two (oriented as played) are individual volumes for the two pups. Lower front (towards neck) is master tone...with a quirk: 0 is full treble, 10 is full bass. Lower rear is the variphase knob for bridge pup active only when S2 & S3 are both down. Thanks again!
brentrocks Posted September 12, 2018 Posted September 12, 2018 Too many switches for me. Lol. Nice 140!!!
