High Flying Bird Posted October 27, 2018 Posted October 27, 2018 A buddy and fellow Heritage owner is going to a local bar to see some bands tomorrow night. While looking at the bar's Facebook page we saw this photo. I saw it as a thumbnail and said, "That looks like a Heritage. What do y'all think?
HANGAR18 Posted October 27, 2018 Posted October 27, 2018 The finger rest (pick guard), right? Softer radius of the cutaway too? I'm going with Yes... a Heritage.
davesultra Posted October 27, 2018 Posted October 27, 2018 Hmmm.... Maybe it is, maybe it isn’t. Not enough there for me to make a decision.
deytookerjaabs Posted October 27, 2018 Posted October 27, 2018 Nyet, looks like a pacific rim special to me.
bolero Posted October 27, 2018 Posted October 27, 2018 only way I could tell is the by the thicker rim binding on a H......but the pics a bit blurry although the pickguard looks like it might be an H style? unless that is just an artifact from the lights
Yooper Posted October 27, 2018 Posted October 27, 2018 It must be a Heritage. Mine has that same chord on it.

HANGAR18 Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 Heritage usually outsourced their fingerboard inlay from one specific company whose name I don't recall. Because the inlay was not typically done "in house", they could order practically any fingerboard inlay that someone would want. Even mushroom inlay.
TalismanRich Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 I think they were using England's Custom Inlay in Caneyville KY for their inlays. They do work for lots of the guitar makers.
pressure Posted October 28, 2018 Posted October 28, 2018 At one point it was Maudie Moore doing the inlays. I remember seeing a station wagon loaded up with guitars in their cases going to Maudie. https://www.namm.org/library/oral-history/maudie-moore

It was done out of house.

rockabilly69 Posted October 30, 2018 Posted October 30, 2018 maybe not a Heritage, no binding nibs, and there's a Gibson-like rhythm/treble washer on the switch!
