brentrocks Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 Walked into my local GC the other day to find 5 new Heritages on the wall.....right next to the Gibsons!!!!
brentrocks Posted March 10, 2019 Author Posted March 10, 2019 3 MONSTER TOP H150s 2 NICELY FLAMED H535s
FranzMohamitz Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 How did the newly improved fit and finish look? Were they the same price as they are on the Heritage "buy it now"? Most importantly, how did they play and sound compared to any of the many other Heritage guitars you've owned?
brentrocks Posted March 10, 2019 Author Posted March 10, 2019 They had them up on the HIGH RACK!!!! I didnt play them....but the guys at the store said the H150s blew away the $3300 les paul prices are the same as the website
tulk1 Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 Not a bad thing. They need the exposure. Must have been pretty weird at first, tho', seeing (new) Heritage guitars in stock at a GC.
MisterG Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 I was there a couple weeks ago (right before these came in). They said the Kalamazoo GC was one of about a handful that would stock new Heritage Guitars.

Gitfiddler Posted March 13, 2019 Posted March 13, 2019 There are a few new Heritage listed on the GC website as well.
DetroitBlues Posted March 14, 2019 Posted March 14, 2019 Come Christmas, they'll probably be priced reduced. Hanging them up high keeps them out of reach and no one will play them. Then again, you won't have a bunch of unsupervised teenagers banging them around while testing the latest Mustang 1 amp.
bolero Posted March 14, 2019 Posted March 14, 2019 nice: they really needed more general exposure in places like that, where the madding crowd hangs out
dbetts41 Posted March 29, 2019 Posted March 29, 2019 Saw the same in the Atlanta GC today... 3 150's and 2 535's. Played both 535's and one of the 150's in dirty lemon. All three had a decent set up and sounded great through a marshall.
ElNumero Posted April 4, 2019 Posted April 4, 2019 This is the only way they will succeed. The old business model was outdated. And it didn't make the former owners rich by any means. Fortunately we were beneficiaries of that outdated model.

But year end deep discounts are one of the strategies big box retailers must implement to avoid massive inventory taxes.

Every year, for the past 10 years just about you'll see significantly reduced prices on the high-end outgoing models... I'll wager Heritage will be there too, even though there are only a handful out there. Really wish Heritage was sold at Sweetwater or SamAsh... Stores that really know the product and take care of both the customers and the suppliers.
