Vanschoyck Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 Does anyone of the esteemed members here like Swart amps? I'm considering adding an STR Tweed, 5 watt, to the general clutter of my life.
DetroitBlues Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 One member here brought one to PSP, to my ears, it was a magical amp in a small package. Absolutely loved its tones.
MisterG Posted April 5, 2019 Posted April 5, 2019 I just bought one, it is awesome. It is quite loud. I don’t have a lot of time on it yet though.
Spectrum13 Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 I have one also. Great tweed tones and verb. Loud for 5 watts. About 4 different options with the two imputes and feedback switch.
t0aj15 Posted April 6, 2019 Posted April 6, 2019 I've been pondering the ST-45 for a while now. Actually I'm trying to decide between that and the Port City Pearl. So far I'm leaning toward the Port City.
rockabilly69 Posted April 8, 2019 Posted April 8, 2019 Van The Man, I love those amps. One of the best tones I ever heard was a Gibson VOS ES330 reissue straight into one of those exact amps. I played through that combo for a few hours and I didn't want to stop! It was Killer!!!
Petros Posted April 8, 2019 Posted April 8, 2019 Hi there, I do own one of this Swart Amps. I have The AST PRO, this is a very nice amp which I use with pedal board and sometimes no effects at all. I personally recommend this amp. They are not cheap but you will be rewarded.
Vanschoyck Posted April 9, 2019 Author Posted April 9, 2019 Thanks everybody for the wonderful enabling - I knew I could count on you! I believe this is my next amp and I'll be back when I pull the old trigger.
