brentrocks Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 Im sure many of you saw this Heritage on Reverb. It was listed as a TV Yellow H137 Mahogany. After looking at the pics and comparing to other 137s, I believe this is a Korina 137 Custom. The seller was asking a pretty steep price with REALLY STEEP shipping....I finally haggled a market-wise price and it on its way to paw paw. Take a look at the pics...especially the neck wood....that is not mahogany! (at least I dont think so..lol) I welcome everyone's comments, and opinions....tell me what you think. vpgcy5qfth3eyjlqdgu9 by brent HENDERSON, on Flickr p85eajcqi2ujkdmjdoxm by brent HENDERSON, on Flickr nk9z8eg7bfrqg2fje0st by brent HENDERSON, on Flickr mprqx9au1cfxbdq04a6p by brent HENDERSON, on Flickr iacoqmqusvstfzqeavbq by brent HENDERSON, on Flickr hdcribd2ps9adtw3rk1r by brent HENDERSON, on Flickr hbsqo2pknhzsbh7nb8xa by brent HENDERSON, on Flickr ebkc4we3hl43ieap7efm by brent HENDERSON, on Flickr
Gitfiddler Posted July 13, 2019 Posted July 13, 2019 Sure looks like Korina to me. What's the weight? More importantly, how's the tone?

brentrocks Posted July 20, 2019 Author Posted July 20, 2019 This one came over the Pacific to find its new home. Its a 2010 Heritage H137 TV Yellow. A great example of a pre-PlazaCorp Heritage....awesome build quality. Great see-thru TV finish!!! I was surprised to not find a model sticker on the back of the control plate...must have got forgotten before it got shipped out from the factory. When I first bought it, I thought it might be korina, but after seeing the natural wood color inside, i'm pretty sure its mahogany. Mahogany body/neck Rosewood board with mother of pearl blocks Lollar P90s Grover tuners It has a medium sized C neck. Its in amazing condition for 9 yes old! Its a great weight at 7.5 lbs...very well balanced. It sets up very nice...very good intonation. Plays amazing! The Lollars produce monster tone! A real joy to play!!! michaeljames Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 nice. i have same thing 2010. thought mine was korina too. mine has a swapped SD Antiquity in the bridge. Original Lollar in the neck. did yours have pups swapped at some point? then returned? solder looks shoddy/redone.
skydog Posted July 25, 2019 Posted July 25, 2019 Brent, here's a couple of pics from my Korina Thorn for comparison.
