pressure Posted November 20, 2019 Posted November 20, 2019 I received this guitar January 15th 2019 and it has had the original Heritage factory strings since then. Today it finally gets new strings and it really needs them, in fact it has needed new strings for at least a month. Yay!!!
Gitfiddler Posted November 20, 2019 Posted November 20, 2019 Super Light...Super Elegant!! By the way, are there any Vol/Tone controls? Schatten hidden under the pickguard maybe?

LK155 Posted November 20, 2019 Posted November 20, 2019 You're going to really like those strings, Pressure. I put a set of those (but Nickle wound, not Pure nickle) on my H150, and those strings totally woke up the guitar. Amazing sound. By the way, nice pic with the package sitting on the guitar.
DetroitBlues Posted November 20, 2019 Posted November 20, 2019 I have a set of those strings and I'm a bit afraid to use them.... I feel they are just too expensive to waste...
pressure Posted November 20, 2019 Author Posted November 20, 2019 Lyle I've been using ThroBak strings ever since they came out with them. Yes they will wake up the guitar but after 10 months butchers twine would be an upgrade. Tone and volume controls are under the pick-guard. They stickout on the bottom edge. I got nothing going for 2020.
pressure Posted November 29, 2019 Author Posted November 29, 2019 There are good things waiting so long between string changes, 1. You save money. 2. It's like you've got a brand new guitar!
Steiner Posted November 29, 2019 Posted November 29, 2019 I like the way you're thinking! I like your Super Light too.
rockabilly69 Posted November 29, 2019 Posted November 29, 2019 One VERY BAD thing about waiting long before string changes. If playing the guitar with older corroded strings, it's harder on the frets. Especially if the wound strings have little divots where they contact the frets.
