Yura Posted January 12, 2009 Author Posted January 12, 2009 Hello Yura, What do you need to know? I wonder, if is it made from one piece of wood or else... and what kind of wood... What electronic does it have... And what type of amp I should better to use...
SouthpawGuy Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 I wonder, if is it made from one piece of wood or else... and what kind of wood...What electronic does it have... And what type of amp I should better to use... Hi Yura, from the Heritage site ... "Neck - 17 degree peghead pitch; one piece mahogany neck. Fingerboard - 24 3/4” scale rosewood; with 22 frets; with mother of pearl position markers. Body - Single cutaway carved curly maple top and solid mahogany back, cream bound top; with cream pickguard. body size: rim thickness - 1 1/2” body width - 12 1/2” body length - 17” Electronics - Two humbucking pickups with exposed coils, two volume and two tone controls with selector switch. Hardware - Chrome plated hardware. With plastic pick guard." Your pickups are most likely Schallers, the tuners are usually Grovers. Hope this helps.
Steiner Posted January 12, 2009 Posted January 12, 2009 Nice 140 Yura!!! Welcome!!!! Yes! Yura Welcome!
cod65 Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 I wonder, if is it made from one piece of wood or else... and what kind of wood...What electronic does it have... And what type of amp I should better to use... Yura, I don't see your pics ? Maybe I'm missing something. If you take the cover off the back control cavity there might be a sticker inside like this: http://www.heritageownersclub.com/gallery2...C_9761.jpg.html some of the 140's are all-mahogany body with no maple top. 'h140M' is all-mahogany. 'h140CM' is maple top with mahogany bottom. There may be other types - like 'P' which would mean 'poplar' wood. check inside for a sticker. use a tube("valve") amp for the best sound, IMO :afro:
JeffB Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 yes Tully, but notice if you will the small rectangular box at the bottom right of the (post reply) screen spell check is BACK... yea baby Huh! I never notised that feature before. Cool, Thanx
JeffB Posted January 13, 2009 Posted January 13, 2009 And what type of amp I should better to use... [shadow=red, left][shadow=red, left]A REALLY, REALLY LOUD ONE.[/shadow] [/shadow] Im sure there's a stock pile of good valves where you live.
