Rod Posted March 27, 2020 Posted March 27, 2020 Several days ago there were probably 8-10 used Heritage guitars on GC. A day later there were 2. A few days ago (and now), 1. A run on used Heritage guitars? What's up?
kbp810 Posted March 27, 2020 Posted March 27, 2020 I just looked out of curiosity, and still see plenty of used Heritage's for sale. Might just perhaps need to clear your browser cache? Or you might be inadvertently set on a "distance from me" filter.
PunkKitty Posted March 27, 2020 Posted March 27, 2020 All of the Chicago GCs are closed because of the Corona Virus. I suspect that it's the same way around the country. I also suspect that that's why you are not seeing them on the site.
Rod Posted March 27, 2020 Author Posted March 27, 2020 I tried various ways of looking and can still only find one used. Several new, though, and plenty of other used guitars. Could very well be user error, though. I figure they're closed here, too, PK. Might have something to do with it. Seems to be specific to Heritage, though.
chico Posted March 27, 2020 Posted March 27, 2020 Madison WI GC had one about 20 days ago, I went in for some string lube and saw it, a nice one. posted it in the FS board below. It was a player H150CM SD59's likely and beautiful cbestnut burst a little wear and tear

I got nothing for the Chicago area.
Jaguarguy Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 I found the same thing - one Heritage listed. The same kind of thing for Dr. Z amps. They went from over thirty down to three. as to be warehouses are closed I hope! ?
Genericmusic Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 Guitar Centers in certain states are closed and not being shipped to. Therefore inventory is incomplete. I imagine it is due to the current situation and everything has to be cleaned before shipping to avoid spreading the virus.
kbp810 Posted March 30, 2020 Posted March 30, 2020 Also seeing the same now, perhaps it was I who needed to clear my cache.
Rod Posted March 31, 2020 Author Posted March 31, 2020 Looks like as the stores closed some of them took their inventory offline and some didn't. There are still a few stragglers, but just about all of them have done it by now. Evidently Fairview Heights, IL is a little slow on the uptake.
DetroitBlues Posted March 31, 2020 Posted March 31, 2020 I noticed that my local Music Go Round has removed all their inventory from online.
explrgab Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 THERE SHOULD BE SOME WICKED DEALS AS A RESULT OF THE GREAT VIRUS OF 2020 ??...I HAVE PLAYED A GROSH RETRO STRAT FOR A LONG WHILE .....AND IT IS A SUPERB INSTRUMENT....I HAVE NEVER BEEN BADLY STRICKEN WITH GAS OVER MANY YEARS OF PLAYING ...HOWEVER THAT SAID, ACQUIRING A GREAT HUMBUCKING GUITAR DURING OR JUST AFTER THE CORONA VIRUS FIRE SALE TUMULT SEEMS A LOGICAL STRATEGY..I AM OPEN TO ANY AND ALL ADVICE OR COMMENT.
Gitfiddler Posted April 9, 2020 Posted April 9, 2020 Supply and demand economic principles are at work during this pandemic. Sales are dead, and deals can be made.
