DetroitBlues Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 Saw this video a few months ago and decided to redo my board based upon Paul Gilbert's demo at Sweetwater with Josh Scott (JHS Pedals).
DetroitBlues Posted August 17, 2020 Author Posted August 17, 2020 Some pedals I found for cheap, some found used for cheaper than new. Overall I tried to recreate this board the best I could.
DetroitBlues Posted August 21, 2020 Author Posted August 21, 2020 I was concerned the power supplies not being isolated would cause some noise. However, I am not getting any 60 cycle hum noise pushing back into the pedals. I ended up reversing the location of the looper and the Quilter pedal amp. Only one more modification is needed and that is the power supplies, as small as they are, are touching the floor on the bottom corners. I'm probably going to add some taller feet to the board to keep those off the floor. Otherwise, this is the best tones I've come up with for myself. There are so many different rock songs I'm hearing through this setup. Its rather fun and inspiring. (Which I really, really need!)
bolero Posted August 22, 2020 Posted August 22, 2020 nice!! I saw PG last year, he had a few funky cool unique looking pedals on his board. and a sweet amp setup: looked like a 20w marshall tube head running into a 100w head, as a preamp of some sort?
DetroitBlues Posted September 20, 2020 Author Posted September 20, 2020 Thanks! Not really feeling the HOF Reverb though....
