SeattleMI Posted September 11, 2020 Posted September 11, 2020 I was thinking about anniversary model guitars today... What is the best anniversary model Heritage has produced, in your opinion, and what makes it stand out from other anniversary models? Also, what differences are there from their standard brethren?
skydog52 Posted September 11, 2020 Posted September 11, 2020 In my opinion the 10th, 20th and 30th anniversary models are the best and stand out with their special inlays and appointments.
DetroitBlues Posted September 11, 2020 Posted September 11, 2020 If you wait long enough, their might be a 40th Anniversary model in a few years.
Gitfiddler Posted September 11, 2020 Posted September 11, 2020 For 2000 Heritage did a very limited run celebrating the new millennium with the "Millennium Eagle". Here's mine...
TalismanRich Posted September 12, 2020 Posted September 12, 2020 I'm also partial to the 2000 Millies.
SeattleMI Posted September 12, 2020 Author Posted September 12, 2020 I have to say I like the flag inlay for the 10th/20th more than the 30th. I wonder what the gang has in store for their 40th. @skydog52 Impressive lineup you have there! @LK155 Damn... she is a beauty! The things she must do to you late at night! @Gitfiddler @TalismanRich those Millie Eagles are rad. I love the H tailpiece!

yoslate Posted September 12, 2020 Posted September 12, 2020 I have a 2007 20th Anniversary 150 (#38) I bought from Pro-fusion. It's as good an instrument as Heritage makes, I think. Beautiful figure in the top! Not too heavy, about 9 lbs. It currently has Gibbons (I think the default changing of this spelling is silly) Custom Buckers in it, which sound more like Bloomfield's '59 than any other of the numerous pickups I've tried in that one. Feel and playability are the equal of my McInturff (the most perfect man-made object I've ever held, which may be too perfect), and my PRS DGT, which is just...perfect feel in my left hand.
bolero Posted September 14, 2020 Posted September 14, 2020 they all look pretty nice!! I think the legal nonsense from Gibbons is what sent the flying monkeys into gear, around here
DetroitBlues Posted September 14, 2020 Posted September 14, 2020 The final decision comes down to what you can find and what features you want. If there is a quality/tone difference/style, take your pick. They are all fantastic guitars. You can't go wrong with any of them. Of course, why not collect them all???
FredZepp Posted September 14, 2020 Posted September 14, 2020 On one of the tours , I remember Jim Deurloo pointing out a 23rd Anniversary model with a bit of pride. It represented the rebirth of Heritage, I believe. As they moved past challenges and kept the Heritage of Kalamazoo going.. I'm a big fan of the hollow trap inlays and the signature inlays on the other anniversary models.
Spectrum13 Posted September 14, 2020 Posted September 14, 2020 I thought Fredzep has a unique anniversary model he may wish to post now.

I don't know if this qualifies as an anniversary model, it's more of a commemorative model ... but, as the certificate says.... "This instrument, #P00804, is the only copy of this design ever built, and it is the very last instrument built at 225 Parsons Street in the 20th century. " " The Heritage Eagle Centurion is a fitting tribute to the history and influence that this location represents, and a marvelous example of the Heritage commitment to quality."

The base guitar (Prospect, right?) with Bigsy is right up my alley, but then add on the bound board, inlays, bowtie(?) and it becomes amazing to me. Enjoy it for a long time!

I hope you get a helpful answer. I have a couple 25th anniversary models, an H535 & an H150. They make me happy so I guess that's how they stand out from the other guitars.
SeattleMI Posted September 17, 2020 Author Posted September 17, 2020 I didn't even realize how many anniversary models there are. I thought it was just 10, 20, 30. Expected there to be a 25, but haven't seen any yet. @buzzy pics please
TalismanRich Posted September 18, 2020 Posted September 18, 2020 I think for the 25th they did both 150s and 535s, but they really weren't decked out with special inlays or anything. They had 25th Anniv truss rod covers and upgraded tops and used Seth Lovers Pickups.
DetroitBlues Posted September 18, 2020 Posted September 18, 2020 Not exactly an "Anniversary" model, but a very limited edition made recently...
