DetroitBlues Posted November 6, 2020 Posted November 6, 2020 Fresh on the bench at Heritage today! What a stunner!
skydog52 Posted November 6, 2020 Posted November 6, 2020 Their Custom Core model. Can't wait. I have a few coming in soon.
rockabilly69 Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 Drilled for a real ABR bridge! Fantastic color and flame on that, I LOVE the new headstock on these.
loudtubeamps Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 Looking forward to seeing the finished product. DetroitBlues I would expect a higher cost, but why don't I see more one piece tops or at least mirror image / book matching done? Like this?

Probably has more to do with the thickness of the blade allowing minimal waste and more symmetrical shaping. Also, that back is flat. Heritage H150's are carved top, so as the wood is carved out, less symmetrical patterns will be apparent.

I remembered this article. https://forums.prsguitars.com/threads/why-are-10-tops-typically-not-book-matched.840/ The few that I have seen that were on piece or center / book matched always impressed me.

ej150 Posted November 12, 2020 Posted November 12, 2020 Wow, that is a stunner. That color works well with that figuring to give it a lot of depth.
