Hollowbody with 25.5” scale

Is there a Heritage hollowbody model or custom that could be built with a 25.5” scale length? I primarily play jam band music and jazz and use roundwound strings. So something good for bending and playing rock/jazz. Not looking for a big body archtop, but am looking for fully hollow.

I don't know of any that are stock with those specs. I'm sure the Custom Shop would be happy to build one for you.

There's a 25 inch scale that has all the other requirements.  It's not cheap and it's not a Heritage, but it is wonderful.  I have an earlier model (HB1), and it does a everything.

Hollowbody II Piezo - 2021 (prsguitars.com)

I used to own one, probably the only PRS I like. I’ve since acquired and played other guitars I prefer to the PRS tho. My CP Thornton Elite is phenomenal is every way, just love the snap you get from a longer scale.

You might check out the used market for a discontinued Sweet 16 archtop.  They have a 16" body and 25.5 scale.

The sweet 16 and golden eagle are killer jazz boxes, but I’m not looking for traditional archtops. I’m referring to smaller bodied and thinner archtops that are typically strung with an unwound g and good for bending and also using some od.

H-525 might meet your criteria, except it is 24.75 scale.  Otherwise you would need to contact the factory with your specific specs.

It's not a 25" scale, it's 24.75 but I'd be willing to bet it'll take round wounds and play what ever your fingers can make it play.

A full hollow Prospect is another model to consider if you don't want a jazz box.

Good luck!

Actually, Forget what I said above.

Here's one to consider. It's closer in size to a full Hollow Prospect but having one of those made at 25.5" thru the Heritage Custom shop would probably cost about 4k. If you ever wanted to sell it, it'd probably get 2k, mint. That alone makes the Eastwood look like a bit of a deal too me.

What about an H-550?  Wouldn't that do the trick?

The problem with the 550 is that it's 3" thick, just like an Eagle or Super KB.   The Sweet 16 is actually thinner,  I think it's the thinnest 25.5" scale they made.    Otherwise you are looking at having them make a 25.5" 530 custom order.

530 with a 25.5 neck or if they still have the patterns for a prospect or academy.

I would think CP Thornton would be more than capable.
