vfrrich Posted March 24, 2021 Posted March 24, 2021 Hi all, I've had my H-555 for quite a few years, and have been thinking about thinning the herd. The sale prices seem to be all over the map when I try to figure a fair sale price. What do you recommend as the best approach to determining a realistic value on it?
Jaguarguy Posted March 24, 2021 Posted March 24, 2021 Here's a link to Reverb's sold listings. https://reverb.com/marketplace?product_type=electric-guitars&query=Heritage H-555&show_only_sold=true Looks like quite a wide spread - $1,800 - $3,500 depending on options. Mid $2,500 appears around the average.

Jaguarguy Posted March 24, 2021 Posted March 24, 2021 If you have pics/build data/condition we might be able to get a little closer.

vfrrich Posted March 24, 2021 Author Posted March 24, 2021 A few more pictures. The only "flaw" I would say is the the binding along the neck has the little cracks at some of the frets which I hear is a common occurrence.
JeffB Posted March 24, 2021 Posted March 24, 2021 I cant help with the value question but - that is a beautiful guitar!
ElNumero Posted March 24, 2021 Posted March 24, 2021 I lucked out 3 years ago, and got me a 2012 555 Classic, trans red in mint condition for $1650. Local pickup too.

mark555 Posted March 24, 2021 Posted March 24, 2021 You must have some really nice guitars if you would sell that!
houndhome Posted March 24, 2021 Posted March 24, 2021 What a beautiful piece of wood the neck is made from,is that really a one piece neck ?

Gtwibs Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 With that beautiful neck and Heritage current new prices, i'd be looking to get $2500 for sure for that beauty. Also, i'd love to check it out/jam sometime post-Covid since I'm local. Good luck!
chico Posted March 25, 2021 Posted March 25, 2021 "classic" referred to pickups being installed at that time, others will have specifics on the pickups. I had a H150CL and it had Duncan 59s, but I think the two screws on each side indicate you have another type.
