DavesNotHere Posted April 29, 2021 Posted April 29, 2021 After years of just simply being certain my 357 had a fat neck, I finally measured the neck. By feel it's certainly the fattest neck of any Heritage I own. I asked Marv when he was building it to make it a handful, but I did not provide any actual dimensions. I told him I trusted his judgement. And, after we spoke for hours about what I wanted the neck to feel like we just left it at "a handful." So, these numbers are the average of three measurements in an attempt to account for errors in the measurement. 1st Fret W 1st Fret D 12th Fret W 12 Fret D 1.754" 0.975" 2.089" 1.072" What does this mean? I don't know. After sitting through two days of design reviews, I'm too lazy on a Wednesday night to measure any other necks. I suspect over the next few days I'll put together a spread sheet and Pareto charts and any other metrics I can think of....
Steiner Posted April 29, 2021 Posted April 29, 2021 Kudos on your statistical measurement technique. I asked for a 1.75" nut on my 575, Marv emphatically said no. You lucky guy!
