High Flying Bird Posted October 14, 2021 Posted October 14, 2021 Good times in north Alabama. L-R Me, Jim, Lance, and Bill.
TalismanRich Posted October 14, 2021 Posted October 14, 2021 I suspect they just pulled off a heist of a local music store! Such scoundrels need to be rounded up and stuck in a jailhouse with the Purple Gang!
Gitfiddler Posted October 14, 2021 Posted October 14, 2021 Beautiful guitars! Those four guitar stands however are sketchy.

I remember the two limba H137s specifically because that wood used to be in my private stash! They conned me out of it. At least Pete put it to great use.
bolero Posted October 15, 2021 Posted October 15, 2021 That's an art gallery, right there! Hinesarchtop, I was there with everyone else at HOC when Pete did his speech & presentation of those two guitars. Outstanding wood selection, and Pete was ( rightly so ) quite proud of the builds!! Great guitars, all around. And congrats to the owners

hinesarchtop Posted October 16, 2021 Posted October 16, 2021 Hey bird, In that picture I spy a rare bird...the HFT475. Is that yours? If so, whats your assessment of it? Does it have a carved mahogany arched back? Thx.

This is marked as a second... probably an employee build because they used to "second them," for their employees. I had Marv and Jim look at it and they couldn't find a flaw with it. It has a deeper sound than does a lot of guitars but I like it. It is a shame you live so far away I would let you borrow it. https://ronwarren.com/475/index.htm
hinesarchtop Posted October 16, 2021 Posted October 16, 2021 Thats a really fun group shot. I placed an order with Wolfe for an HFT475 sometime around 1995. I waited two years and still nothing. Heritage was stopping acoustic instrument production. If I remember right I ordered a golden eagle after that.
