Keyboarder Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 I bought a Heritage bass in '90 when it came used through a shop I worked as a repair tech. Hey, I grew up near Kalamazoo and thought it might be fun to learn bass. The bass got away from me - group house of musicians - but it has returned, and I've actually started playing a little. Never seen another...
brentrocks Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Welcome dude! we would love to see some pics of your Heritage! there was one on Ebay a few weeks ago that went for like $300...it was a steal!!!
Keyboarder Posted January 26, 2009 Author Posted January 26, 2009 Will post pics in next two days. For true K'zoo-ers, remember Sound Factory? Or Bill Dobbins Music?
Thundersteel Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 I don't own a Heritage bass, but I've got two G&L basses. Welcome! Nice to see another "bottom feeder!"
Keyboarder Posted January 27, 2009 Author Posted January 27, 2009 The head stock has a crack and has been repaired. A reputable tech/luthier did not seem concerned. But he felt the neck was not good as he couldn't get the action as low as he thought appropriate. Also, the saddles are extend out as far as they can go. The intonation is good, but there is little option to extend farther if ever needed. Trying to figure out if I should try to have it improved upon. http://www.heritageownersclub.com/gallery2/d/1572-2/HB1_FullW820.jpg[/img]
Bluzman54 Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 Now that is cool looking. Welcome to the club. Jim C
Gitfiddler Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 Interesting Heritage bass. It looks more Fender-ish than most G&L's and some Fenders! 8)
