DetroitBlues Posted April 11, 2022 Posted April 11, 2022 My son, Evan, is graduating High School in June. He's already has a scholarship to attend Saginaw Valley for academics and track. He's an avid guitar player, it's amazing what he has learned over the years. He's watched my collection of guitars come and go, the one he misses the most was my H150 GT w/ P90's. When my wife and I decided for his 18th birthday/graduation present was to buy him something special, we knew it had to be a guitar. We decided a special trip to Kalamazoo for a special private tour of the factory that will conclude with him taking possession of the very last regular production H150 Gold Top. So this will be a New Guitar Day and a New Heritage Owner Day on April 22nd. When I have some pictures, I'll post them
kbp810 Posted April 11, 2022 Posted April 11, 2022 Congrats to Evan! That’s some mighty fine parenting, too. Hard to believe he’s off to college; time sure does fly.
Spectrum13 Posted April 11, 2022 Posted April 11, 2022 Looks a lot like his dad! When I was 18 my dream guitar was a 1968 goldtop with P90's too
cobo Posted April 11, 2022 Posted April 11, 2022 Wow! Congrats on your son’s achievements Josh, and what an awesome gift, too!
HANGAR18 Posted April 11, 2022 Posted April 11, 2022 If I had known they were making Goldtops, I would have ordered one already.
Genericmusic Posted April 11, 2022 Posted April 11, 2022 Congratulations to all. Fine young man, fine new guitar, and one proud papa.
High Flying Bird Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 One of the few fathers to buy their child a Heritage.
pressure Posted April 12, 2022 Posted April 12, 2022 Big congrats to Evan and his parents, it's not easy bringing up kids. Say What!!! No more Gold Tops!

This one is actually almost 2 years old, it was a Factory reject that was corrected and sat in a corner for the past year.

I will NOT part with my Goldtop with P90's
TalismanRich Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 Great story and outcome. Good to hear of young folks who have their heads on straight!
rockabilly69 Posted April 13, 2022 Posted April 13, 2022 I love Goldtops, congrats to your son for the scholarship, and congrats to you and your wife for raising a fine son! BTW what did they fix on it, it looks perfectly straight to me!

Such a sad state. Hounded Heritage for it for months and they finally agreed to sell it.
