Hi, new member on board. I have 4 Heritage guitars all purchased in the last year. I had a mint '65 335 Trapeze that I sold and was able to help fund the purchases. I liked my '65 335 and it sounded good but after a while it just became an "old guitar". It wasn't a stoptail (if it was I may have not sold it) and the frets were usable but going. I have always respected Heritage but never actually played one. I played one early last year and I was hooked.

This selling of the '65 335 made me question my guitar collection- Do I want to have some nice vintage pieces with question playability or do I want to become a better player.

So I sold a naturally "reliced" 66 jaguar, my '59 Gretch double aniversery, my 2 Cust Shop Fender Strats, '52 reissue Tele, Japanese Fender Robben Ford, and a LP Classic plus.

So what did I do with all the money- College fund? Sorry to say NO.

I bought 4 PRS guitars, a '63 RI Cust shop NOS Tele, '65 RI Cust shop NOS Strat, Used mint Sweet 16 vintage cherry burst, Used mint 555 almond busrt, new Natural Super Eagle, and my latest that arrived (finally after 10 months) a Cust 555 with Mahogany neck Rosewood board 555 inlays & binding.

I don't regret selling or trading any of my old gear. The new stuff looks better, plays better, and sounds equally as good.

I will get around to a harem picture soon. I know "This thread is useless without pics"

Automatic Karma point from me for making such a gutsy and smart choice on reforming your guitar collection. Let me be the first to say welcome aboard!!!!

One post, one karma!  Nice start!  Welcome to the forum!  I've been here since early October, and the vibe and expertise, support and objectivity, give and take as well as the appropriate sense of the absurd are all alive and well!  Jumping on for the latest postings has become a very enjoyable part of my day.  ;D

Thanks everyone. I have been reading threads here for quite a while and it seemed to be a lot more friendlier than other formus :)

Welcome, Kuz!

You KNOW we are all waiting for you to complete this thread with PICTURES!  Your entire collection sounds fantastic.  I agree with your selling off of a vintage classic to score some of the great players you now own.  To me it is always best to have guitars that you actually play.

And don't feel too bad about that new H555 either.  You have one of the best semi-hollow guitars on the market in that baby alone.  I simply cannot put mine down and other players agree that it is top of the heap.

Enjoy hanging out here and post often.
