skydog Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Does Heritage have a true custom shop? If so, how does it differ from the normal shop?
tulk1 Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Don't think they have a "true" custom shop, as in one group set up to do only custom orders. Technically, the whole plant is a custom shop. Meaning they will build anyone one of their current production guitars with whatever customizations the customer is willing to pay for. Anything that deviates from the normal specs becomes a custom. So yes. Uh ... no. Sorta.
fxdx99 Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 What he said Don't all the labels such as those seen thru the f-holes (on guits w/them) read 'Heritage Custom Guitar Shop'?
tulk1 Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 Don't all the labels such as those seen thru the f-holes (on guits w/them) read 'Heritage Custom Guitar Shop'? Nope. Only those that are custom orders get that label. Thats according to Ren.
GuitArtMan Posted February 4, 2009 Posted February 4, 2009 I would say that Heritage is a custom shop.
skydog Posted February 5, 2009 Author Posted February 5, 2009 I would say that Heritage is a custom shop. Well, that's what I was thinking. Yet, Ren told me that my current 157 was custom ordered (no headstock binding) yet no custom shop notations.
shook494 Posted February 5, 2009 Posted February 5, 2009 I have a 150 that was definitely a custom order. Ebony board, dot inlays, killer flame top. The only thing written in the control cavity is "Built for JW Usserry" with the date. No custom sticker though.
