brentrocks Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 ...is this uber cool 1989 H170!!! Done up in somewhat rare trans-blue. This baby has seen some action over the last 34 years. I was pretty much stock when I got it. The only thing missing was the original pickguard. The original Schaller bridge and tailpiece had been swapped out for aluminum Nashville style hardware. I opted to pull the Schaller pickups and replaced them with a set of Gibson Shaw PAFs. I swapped the Grovers for locking Grovers. The frets show a little bit of wear. The body show lots of honest play wear, but no signs of abuse. No breaks or cracks. It sets up and plays great! The neck is a medium C. It's quite lightweight too. And has great tone to boot!
MisterG Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 That is sweet! Is it volume/tone only? What is next to the toggle switch?

kennyv4 Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 I like the color. Is this your new giging guitar?

hinesarchtop Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 The fingerboard is very colorful. Nice!
Kuz Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 I am not sure if I like it better with, or without the pickguard. I think on that body shape I like it better without the pickguard, but hey it's your guitar. Nice find as usual.
