cubman Posted May 5, 2023 Posted May 5, 2023 Here's one more photo..... I'd post a few more but, before I can do that, I will have to figure out how to get my iphone to take low resolution photos. Until then, thanks to Ryan... Tim
TalismanRich Posted May 6, 2023 Posted May 6, 2023 As you are well aware, that's a rare bird. Hope it becomes your "forever" guitar!
DetroitBlues Posted May 7, 2023 Posted May 7, 2023 That’s been a couple years of searching! Congratulations!
rockabilly69 Posted May 7, 2023 Posted May 7, 2023 Looks like someone put a good bridge on that thing too! Congrats on your patience paying off! P90s ROCK! What's up with the ball ends sticking out of the tailpiece (did you double up on them?).
cubman Posted May 8, 2023 Author Posted May 8, 2023 Thanks for all the comments. There were times when I wasn’t sure that there were any more of these out there. Thanks to Ryan for parting with it. I’m not sure about the string ends as he had just put some new “Rotosound”, pure nickel strings on it and they really do sound good. I usually jump right in and change strings, etc but, I have to say that I am impressed with these strings and so will wait to change things up. The bridge and tail piece are both from Faber and so match the bridge/tail piece setups in all of my other similar guitars. What a really fine guitar…..
Kuz Posted May 8, 2023 Posted May 8, 2023 I have heard (and seen) people put two ball ends at the end of the strings so the wrapping part of the strings won't hit your hand. I never top wrap and it isn't necessary to top wrap with the Faber hardware, but I guess some might still like the longer string feel.
SouthernCanuck Posted May 8, 2023 Posted May 8, 2023 Just wanted to chime in with a "Congrats!" because I know what it is like to wait a long time for a specific guitar. And, I'm betting that many on this site can also relate! S_C
