Philapete Posted May 31, 2023 Posted May 31, 2023 There is one for sale on mando cafe. Anyone know anything about them?
kbp810 Posted May 31, 2023 Posted May 31, 2023 I don't know much about them; other than they're quite rare. Not often you see one pop up for sale.
DetroitBlues Posted May 31, 2023 Posted May 31, 2023 I agree they are very rare, I've seen a couple A Models and a single F-Model. There was a single Gibson employee that started with Heritage in the 80's to produce some folk instruments including a banjo along with the flat top acoustics. Wasn't much of a demand back then nor today. No idea if they are great instruments, I'd assume they would be. Value-wise, I'm not sure what they are worth even being rare. if you do pick it up, love to see it posted here!
Genericmusic Posted June 1, 2023 Posted June 1, 2023 Aaron Cowles made the Heritage mandolins as he did with Gibson among everything else. It is my understanding they were made from Gibson parts that were left behind on Parson Street when Gibson left. He also started Aaron's Music Service in neighboring Vicksburg and was builder of Unity and Jubal custom guitars. https://aaronsmusicservice.com/history
