fhrussell Posted July 18, 2023 Posted July 18, 2023 Hello, I have an older (1998) H-575 with the original bridge. I find the string spacing to be way to close and narrow at 2" and want to replace the bridge. Should I just pickup a StewMac archtop bridge or is there a better option? Does Heritage build their own? https://www.stewmac.com/parts-and-hardware/all-hardware-and-parts-by-instrument/archtop-guitar-parts/archtop-guitar-bridges-and-tailpieces/archtop-guitar-bridge Thank you
bolero Posted July 18, 2023 Posted July 18, 2023 Hey that's a pretty good price, I figured they'd be more expensive than that. Haven't had any issues with my 90's 575 so can't help you. Can't you just cut new slots?
Steiner Posted July 18, 2023 Posted July 18, 2023 The H-575's bridge is the bane of my guitardom. Save the old one, you may want to reset later. If you're patient, you can search for the same bridge elsewhere for much less. I'm with bolero, just recut the current one. Remember. Around here it's pictures or it never really happened... Let's see that early beauty.
Steiner Posted July 19, 2023 Posted July 19, 2023 Well played! Twin beauties. Play them in good health.
