Kuz, you sure have some purty guitars.

Kuz, just curious and forgive me if you posted the answer to this question already in another thread, but may I ask what type of amp(s) you have to accompany these masterpieces?

Unfortunately I am between jobs currently (gave 17 years to one of the very big Pharmaceutical companies and was let go when they downsized 25% of the sales force nation wide. Interestingly enough I used to work for The UpJohn Company that was based in K-zoo. I went the main headquarters many times but at the time didn't know Heritage existed. I drove up to the factory last Spring and saw the wonderful old Upjohn building closed and deserted.)

SO anyhow enough venting. The reason I mention this is because the next amp I buy will be a Bogner Shiva el-34 with reverb. The best sounding 2 channel amp I have played or heard.

The amps I play through are very similar to Heritage guitars in that they are better than the originals. They are called "Chicago Blues Box" amps made by Dan Butler in Chicago. I have a "Roadhouse" 50watt model which is like the greatest Super reverb you've ever heard, and a "Kingston" 30watt which is kinda like an old Deluxe.

I have a Twin with a 15" speaker for the archtops.

Google Chicago Blues Box amps, great stuff!

I have heard a lot of great things about Bogner. The closest thing I have to it is a Bogner emulation on Naitive Intruments Guitar Rig 3-I know the purists here are cringing now, but I have to say it IS a good recording tool-especially since I usually can't crank through a real amp during "me time" which is most always after hours when the kiddies are asleep.

BUT the point I am making here is GR3 includes just about all the major amps that have come out in the last 50 years-Bassman, Twin Reverb Marshall Plexi, Mesa Boogie, Hiwatt Orange and even some bass models.  And the ONLY boutique amp included in their lineup is a two channel Bogner (Called an Ultrasonic for legal reasons, but the guy at Sweetwater said it was supposed to be based on a Bogner)-not sure if it is supposed to be the Shiva or not. But the point is that of all the boutique amps out there, that was the amp they went with as I am certain the addition of a Boutique amp was something the consumers demanded. Don't know how close it is to the real thing, but that particular emulation provides the best tone -especially the overdrive channel, out of all the other amp models they have to choose from.

I will have to do some research on the Chicago Blues Box , sounds like an interesting line.

Yea with the Chicago Blues Box amps they are just like the vintage ones, you really need to crank them to get distortion. I didn't say you really need to crank them for them to sound good. I use a Fulltone Fulldrive 2 pedal or a tube screamer and your in Robben Ford, Larry Carlton, SRV, ZZ Top HEAVEN.

Great Great  Great amps.  http://chicagobluesbox.com/

I was just playing tonight thinking, even if I can't get the Bogner Shiva for a year or so (or ever) I'm so great full & lucky to have the great guitars and amps I already have and the tones that come from them! ;)
