Gitfiddler Posted November 22, 2009 Author Posted November 22, 2009 My one and only Heritage pic seems to change depending on what tone I'm chasing. Lately it has been the 535 w/Phat Cats. It covers a lot of ground at gigs. All I need is that gitfiddle and a Tele when playing out, and life is good. Maybe that is why so many of us Heritageites are always on the prowl for a good deal on a used model that is different from the one currently on the stand!!
hubberjub Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 My favorite Heritage is the Millie 155. I someday will own one. Of my current stock, I would go with my 535. I just love the way it conjures controlled feedback when I'm playing out. It currently has Schaller pickups in it but I have a set of SD 59s that will soon be swapped in.
FredZepp Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 Really , I'm playin' the H157 Tuxedo the most at the moment... But.. BUT... You'll have to pry the Centurion from my cold dead hands..
rjsanders Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 Really , I'm playin' the H157 Tuxedo the most at the moment... ... can't blame ya. i put in a custom order on one of those a couple years ago. am patiently awaiting response. the classic look, to me...
BrianToth Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 It's modified a bit but I'll keep my Prospect. Or I'd get an unmodified one as well.
RJLII Posted November 25, 2009 Posted November 25, 2009 Custom H-155 with Mahogany back and rim, Super flame top, 50's "ball bat" neck, Rosewood board, traps, Lollar Soapbars or low wind Imperials, , Nickel hardware, Old Style Sunburst, and the switch on the upper bout where God intended it to be.
jmb27 Posted November 27, 2009 Posted November 27, 2009 Still only have 1 Heritage ... rather I should say, I have re-gained my 1 Heritage guitar - H150CM-Classic - and hope to hang onto it for a good long time .... cheers always, eh Joel
unikh550 Posted December 3, 2009 Posted December 3, 2009 Love my H-550 with the Charlie Christian pickup, but since you said stock, I'd choose an antique natural Super Eagle. Don't know if they would put a Lollar Charlie Christian on, but if they wouldn't, I'd want them to put on one SD Seth Lover pickup, but place it halfway between where the neck and bridge pickups would have been. If they could scrounge up a leftover "H" bail tailpiece like my H-550 has, and make the cutaway a Florentine that is farther away from the body like older ES-175's, so much the better. My other fave is the H-576. Love the way its cutaway looks. No matter the guitar, I'd order it with the maple headstock veneer; it is so cool.
