tulk1 Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 I got my first Heritage way back in 1973 - guess this makes me the one who had it first! Jacques - Would you care to elucidate on that statement?
Kuz Posted February 15, 2009 Posted February 15, 2009 I got my first Heritage way back in 1973 - guess this makes me the one who had it first! Well, I had an original 1965 335, um, HERITAGE with Gibson on the headstock, but sold it to buy more Heritages ;D
Dick Seacup Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Got my 150 in September 07, around the same time I became a member of HOC That's funny, I got my first Heritage (H-137D) in July or August of 2007, right about the time I joined the HOC. Then I got the H-160V and then the Millie DC. And now I'm looking for a...
zydecosoultrain Posted February 16, 2009 Posted February 16, 2009 Hi, I got my H-535 in 2007 as a step up from my Ibanex AS80 semi. It's a 1998 ASB with a SD jazz in the neck and a JB in the bridge. I bought it from a dude who imports a container of second hand guitars from the US each year - he was a Strat man so the heritage was an experiment on his part. It needed oil on the fretboard and a rebuilt nut but is now a great playing and very handsome guitar. I got my 2005 H-575 (OSB, HRW's, rosewood bridge) second hand, a couple of months ago, from a shop that specialises in fine guitars. The original owner had traded for a vintage Gibson - his loss my gain I say. I can't put this guitar down, it sounds great unplugged, the HRW's are terriffic through a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe, and my playing has improved with it. The only downside is that I'm too scared to take it anywhere in the car when the temperature is over 35 degrees C. (95 deg F), which is a lot of teh time, and it's been up to 46 C (114.5 F) lately. But the older you get, the more you focus on teh things that are imprtant to you and the better life gets. Cheers, Z H-575.jpg H-575.jpg_thumb
romk Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 I found out The Heritage Inc. back in 2006 and occasionally bought H-150 the same year. Have never regret it 8)

High Flying Bird Posted February 23, 2009 Posted February 23, 2009 I bought my one and only back in April of last year to celebrate getting a new job. I hope I can say the same thing soon.
TalismanRich Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 My 157 was my 50th birthday present to myself. Ordered it back in early 2003. Still got it... gonna keep it. H157.jpg H157.jpg_thumb
Paul P Posted February 24, 2009 Posted February 24, 2009 My 157 was my 50th birthday present to myself. Ordered it back in early 2003. Still got it... gonna keep it. Same here, though it was in 2007 and an H535. It's great to have such a nice guitar with which to travel down the far side of the hill.
smurph1 Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 Got my '85 H-140 in January of this year (09) Had known about Heritage since the early 90's but never had the money to afford one..Just lucked into this one..All original and sounds GREAT!!
Hfan Posted March 23, 2009 Posted March 23, 2009 I got my 575 Custom from Wolfe in Dec 2006 (x mas present to myself). Had hoped to take some Jazz lessons, hasn't happened yet. I had never heard of Heritage but found them after researching other Jazz type boxes on Harmony Central etc. My 150 came from E Bay about 2 weeks ago, my other guitars have been sitting idle since.
dblazer Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 My first one was a Prospect in the guise of a Heritage/Ed Roman "Blues Deluxe" I special ordered in 1998 I think. I've had my H-140 the longest, I think I got it in 1999 or 2000.
Joe Posted March 26, 2009 Posted March 26, 2009 Got my ASB H-555 in '96', a 40th birthday present. A friend had a blond H-555 and it hooked me. On my wish list is a 157. I just need some $$$$
emilio Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 Well. I just purchased my first Heritage, a 535, from WolfeGuitars, a few minutes ago. Should be here in NJ, sometime next week.
SouthpawGuy Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 Well. I just purchased my first Heritage, a 535, from WolfeGuitars, a few minutes ago. Should be here in NJ, sometime next week. Congrats on the new guitar ! Let me be the first to say .... :this_thread_is_useless_withou 8)
emilio Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 Thanks, I don't know how to post a pic from the website, but, over at Wolfeguitars.com, it is serial # 05502. Once I have it home and had a chance to acclimate, Florida to NJ, I will post a pic of two. You know, I was seriously GASsing for a 525, but, the 535 offers just a bit more versatility.
martintj Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 I purchased a 2003/2004 H535 in near mint condition about 3 weeks ago. She's a beaute . Went thru some P 90 longings but for now I'm pleased with the HRW's that it came with. I play it thru a Victoria Regal 2 , and that makes for some great sounds. Had one problem with the jack after tightening it. Seems there was a strain on the ground wire and that made for an off and on connection.Yesterday my friend checked out the jack;all seemed in place;;reinstalled the jack and we were very careful in tightening the nut this time. End result:no more problems. I'm happy! tom
dblazer Posted March 27, 2009 Posted March 27, 2009 My 157 was my 50th birthday present to myself. Ordered it back in early 2003. Still got it... gonna keep it. That's one fine looking guitar. Every time I see one with MOP crowns or blocks I wonder why they ever bother with the dots. No offense to "dot neckers", they're fine, but the other way just looks so right to me.
Thundersteel Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 Every time I see one with MOP crowns or blocks I wonder why they ever bother with the dots. I'm not a fan of dot-necks, either. Give me traps!
Dick Seacup Posted March 28, 2009 Posted March 28, 2009 I'm not a fan of dot-necks, either. Give me traps! I think a 535 with small blocks would be cool.
