I use my home stereo set as amp.

Guitar→Preamp(TS-9)→Stereo amp →Stereo audio speaker :]

That is pretty cool!!

It sounds great. I suspected it wasn't a run-of-the-mill solid state home stereo :)

Yes, I think tube has good match with Artchtop + Low gain pickup😊

At some point in my life, I did try playing an electric gtr through various home stereos. It sounded terrible :D

Me too, always terrible.like line recording with no effect,small volume.
I think the keys are impedance and preamp.
