Krohawk1 Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Has anyone ever kick around the idea about a book documenting the Heritage model line and history? (like the many that have been done about other guitar companies) I think that would be great, especially with the upcoming 25th anniversary.
chico Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 Great idea, the writer should start by contacting Ron (HFB here) for use of his great B&W photos from last year's HOC tour.
JohnCovach Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 There was a guy working on a book; he has a modest site somewhere but I can't seem to find it or remember how it came to my attention. Maybe someone else here can remember?
fxdx99 Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 As read here over the last year or so, a couple rumors on books. One from Wolfe, one from the gentleman that JC references (think he was the guy that picked up the 170?...). Agree it'd be a great link to the upcoming 25 year anniversary.

Maybe someone else here can remember? I think you are referring to Brent Henderson, has owned every model Heritage and well qualified to write such a book.
brentrocks Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 I think you are referring to Brent Henderson, has owned every model Heritage and well qualified to write such a book. LMAO ;D

tulk1 Posted February 17, 2009 Posted February 17, 2009 I think you are referring to Brent Henderson, has owned every model Heritage and well qualified to write such a book. Well, he should certainly be consulted where models and availablility are concerned. No doubt!!! 8) Has anyone approached the boys about it? Maybe they have some ideas on it.
RhoadsScholar Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Hello Gang, was waiting for the NAMM show hustle to die down. I need to follow up with Marv and Vince. Been loving the 170. (got a couple of 150's and a millenium too, I always need just one more). Been working on the content but am hopeful for approval from the folks in Kalamazoo I hope to have an update in the coming weeks. I do have a different youtube shot playing my green 150 (do a search for Rhoadsscholar.com on youtube) other silly stuff out there (but that is what youtube is for). INformal survey Should I add the green 150 metal solo to the heritage site?? LOvin all the posts. Hope to add some of my own in the coming weeks ahead. I would love to get some heritage guitar solos (youtubes) for theheritagestory website. how about a peer group contest (winner gets bragging rights !). ALL ABOARD rhoadsscholar
Krohawk1 Posted February 21, 2009 Author Posted February 21, 2009 How is the book project coming? Any chance it would coincide with the 25th anniversary?
JohnCovach Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Here's a video (solo at 4:33). That's the Millennium 155 and was recorded in 2004. I used my 575 Custom for that solo on the album.
fxdx99 Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Hey JC - NICE!!! Excellent playing, harmonies, cool song, like the modal runs during the solo. Very cool. 8)
JohnCovach Posted February 21, 2009 Posted February 21, 2009 Thanks, man! You can hear the studio version on my MySpace page at www.johncovach.com. It's song #5 in the player. Those Land of Chocolate tunes are filled with a lot of chromatic chord changes, so soloing over them is more like playing bebop than rock n roll. There's more video at www.youtube.com/rudymctooty.
