First I heard that the OG Rev F or Rev G Two Channel Dual Rectifier Solo Heads were making a return, and that preorders were being taken. Never saw any official.

Then I heard the same thing about the vaunted Mark IIC+, which over the course of the pandemic suddenly became an amp worth over 10K USD depending on the load out.

Well, it appears that at least one of those rumors is true. Do I have any interest? Probably not. Paying $3500 for an amp that is very lacking in features that I like, and probably not made at all in the way the originals were? When I already have a Mark V? Nope.

But I'm sure these will be sold out everywhere.

I always liked the look of those Boogie amps with the cane grills. Very potent little combo.

They aren't the same exact circuit because alot of the original parts (ie transformers), aren't available, but from what I can tell, they sound great. I guess if you want one bad enough you'll buck up. I don't, but I can see why many people will, especially if after time people in the real world say they bring the goods. I'm a Mesa fan. I've had, and still have, a few of their amps.  I have a DC2 with a Weber 12A125A speaker in it that sounds great, and a Fillmore 50 combo that I love.

I've got a DC-5 which I played a lot for a while, but since I got a Mark V combo, it pretty much hasn't gotten any love, so I'll have to move that along.

Mesa also just announced a "Reissue" of the "90s Dual Rectifier", the two channel version that doesn't really have any of the "modes" the current ones do. I already have a tremoverb combo, which aside from weighing like 80lbs, also sounds incredible. They make good amps, but they are not the easiest to service due to how complex a lot of their recent offerings have been, with the Fillmore being a notable exception due to the simple design.

I have a Mesa KingSnake which is also supposed to be simple but there is simple and then there's Mesa simple. I think it weighs about 85 lbs. I can't move it anywhere, ha. Good times.

Those are great amps though. LOUD, but great. Those early designs were the favorites of people like Santana and Keith Richards.

One of the guys that hangs out in the Mesa facebook groups owns one of "keef's" former Mesas. Also seen some of Prince's old Mark IIB and Mark IIC+ coliseum heads floating around.

Years ago, I saw Keith Richards and Ron Wood play together in Salt Lake City with the New Barbarians. They were both playing Mesa IIC amps and they sounded great. I was right up front so I could hear those amps really good!
