MartyGrass Posted Tuesday at 03:26 PM Posted Tuesday at 03:26 PM We visit this topic from time to time, but it is always a joy. One of my favorite finishes is the chestnut sunburst. One nice feature is that the color difference between maple and mahogany isn't stark. Here are two older instruments. Note how the artists spraying them went for a slightly different result. 3 1
bolero Posted Tuesday at 09:39 PM Posted Tuesday at 09:39 PM Tough question: I don't know if I could choose, I like them all! I like being able to see the wood through the finish, although some of my faves are solid colors. And solid colors get even better as they age & the nitro takes on the texture of the wood underneath. 1
skydog52 Posted Wednesday at 10:08 PM Posted Wednesday at 10:08 PM They are all great, especially the old way. Vintage Wine Burst is a nice one. 2
rockabilly69 Posted Thursday at 12:28 AM Posted Thursday at 12:28 AM (edited) Kuz told me the finish on my H535 P90 is a special Marv Burst, I love it. I really like the transitions... Edited Thursday at 12:29 AM by rockabilly69 3
