MartyGrass Posted December 17 Posted December 17 We visit this topic from time to time, but it is always a joy. One of my favorite finishes is the chestnut sunburst. One nice feature is that the color difference between maple and mahogany isn't stark. Here are two older instruments. Note how the artists spraying them went for a slightly different result. 4 1
bolero Posted December 17 Posted December 17 Tough question: I don't know if I could choose, I like them all! I like being able to see the wood through the finish, although some of my faves are solid colors. And solid colors get even better as they age & the nitro takes on the texture of the wood underneath. 1
skydog52 Posted December 18 Posted December 18 They are all great, especially the old way. Vintage Wine Burst is a nice one. 2
