brentrocks Posted December 18 Posted December 18 1988 HERITAGE H150 The first generation H150! Pre-Lawsuit Gibson body style. Made for only 2 years, 1988 and 1989. I picked this up off of Reverb last week. Original Schaller bridge and tailpiece swapped out for Gibson Nashville style bridge and tailpiece. This H150 still has its original Schaller Golden 50s pickups. Also has its original pickguard, poker chip, pickup rings, toggle switch, frets and finish. The frets are in great shape for being 36 years old. The whole guitar is in great condition for being 36 years old! No cracks or breaks. It sets up with a low, fast action! It’s a great player!! The tone on this 10.25 lb beast is absolutely amazing! It has a 60s neck carve. A beautiful dark Indian rosewood fretboard. 2
bolero Posted December 18 Posted December 18 Looks good! Is it my eyes or is the X Terminator headstock a bit longer? 1
TalismanRich Posted December 20 Posted December 20 That's the big brother of my H-140. The more I see them, the more I like a classic cherry burst finish! I don't know why they get so much hate. 2
FredZepp Posted December 21 Posted December 21 Great find. It is great finding these special Heritage guitars that are under the radar. Congrats Brent ! 1
Doug Posted December 21 Posted December 21 That's a really beautiful guitar, Brent. You get that lemon burst flame and the red guitar all in one. My 535 has the Schaller Golden 50's pickups & bridge and that all works well for me.
