Isn't it against all known laws of nature and the universe to play a right-handed guitar lefty?

Not for CJ. He is known to own at least 1/3 of the Marvbird's made.

I talk to him every once in a while. He is an interesting guy with a lot of stories. Met a lot and played in front of legends.

That's his son on the right playing the red one.

I have seen those. Good luck to the seller if they get anything near that. That is not the normal pricing.

You never know.

I have did extensive research on these Marvbird and found Marvin actually did a run of 25 pieces of these birds during 2011? Before he retire.... those have multi laminated necks and natural color... just stunning !! Beautiful !!

I just wonder did anybody at Heritage inherited the Marvin lamb skill and touch on these masterpieces? Pete Farmer ?

Pete Farmer is a great luthier. I'm sure he could handle it with no problem.

I'm sure they have a few that could build these, especially with the CNC they have in place now.

They just wouldn't have the mojo of Marv's hands, IMO.

Marv didn't keep a real good count of how many he made. I've asked him a few times and he guessed 70-75 made.

These listings are hilarious! A couple of them have sat there, at that price, for quite some time now. And I believe they'll continue to sit there. Those prices are so far off base it's not even funny. I think just because they've seen one listed for that much, they're going ahead and listing their's for sale at that price too. But, as the saying goes: "Just because you saw one LISTED for that much, doesn't mean they're actually SELLING for that much." I can list a Snickers bar for $30,000 right now, and we can all watch it sit there, at that price, for eternity.......

Heritage should invite Marvin lamb back for a really one off reissue on these 357, 150 & 157 perhaps knowing the fact that he is a fatherly respected builder known to have build guitars during the gibson kalamazoo and Heritage days....

You never know... Someone did pay $6.2 million for a banana duct taped to a wall.

I have 3 bananas on the kitchen counter,  a roll to tape in the garage, and several walls available.   For $6M,  I'll tape each to a wall,  and throw in the house that has the walls attached for free!

Being in his upper 80s,  I don't see him coming in to build a few guitars.    Has anyone heard how Marv is doing.  I remember someone saying something about health issues the last time we were in K'zoo.

I've heard he is doing well, health wise now, and just enjoying his Grandkids and retirement. Someone told me (don't know this for fact- just something I was told) Marv made the final runs of Marvbirds around 2015ish, shortly before the company was sold and said he was done making them because his arthritis had gotten so bad it was just too much on his hands. Again, not sure if that's true or not, but if so, I seriously doubt he would be up for making anything these days. Would be great if he did though!

Hope he is well and i think he is the Heritage legend ... !! To really add on the backbone of the Heritage company especially for the new owner they should think about doing some form of a retreat and do something special hahah...
